The first month of our Hours project is complete! Looking at the photos below I'd say this project is off to a tremendous start.

The Hours 2014 - 7:00am

I'm so excited to announce a new photography project that I'll be working on this year. It is called The Hours.

I'll be spending my time this year collaborating with a group of about 30 photographers who are all from around the globe. We will each be documenting a specific hour each month throughout the year.

For the month of January we're starting with the early 7 o'clock hour.

I'm usually not shooting this early. At this time of day the alarm is going off and I'm slowly getting to all that needs to get done before work and school.

I'm so excited to see where this journey takes us all. I'm secretly hoping that a huge corporation will see our work and sponsor all of us so that we can go on a long epic photowalk together. Can you imagine what kind of lovely photos would come out of that meeting?

Fave 5 on 5 - December 2013

Oh December, you were the busiest month of all!

My photos for this month include a magical holiday train ride, sunny city views, a little love and a baking shot because there was LOTS of baking this month.



And an extra 6th one because we all need a little blurry Christmas lights each year.

365 - 2013

How good it feels to finally put the number 365 on the last photo of the year!

So here it is, my 365 for 2013.
What a marathon.
Kudos to those of you who have been doing these for years and years in a row and are now on your 1095 straight photo of the day!

I completed my first 365 in 2011.   The difference between then and now is that I chose to do this round by using my iPhone. The challenge would be to take photos, as well as edit photos, only on my phone. The quality suffered a little bit but the moments, my moments, are all still there.
