FAVE 5 ON 5 - 2016 DECEMBER

On the fifth day of each month a group of photographers shares their favorite photos from the previous month. It's a blog circle! At the end of this post there is a link to the next person. Read on and enjoy our favorites from December.

Say goodbye to 2016 and HELLOOOO to 2017!!
Hope you all had a great holiday. This Christmas we traveled to Texas. Below are a few photos from one of our favorite places.

In December we traveled to Texas. What I love about Texas are the wide open spaces. You can drive for hours through the desert without a gas station or sign of life in sight.

In one of these wide open spaces is the small city of Fabens. We travel to Fabens once a year to visit the magical place of Cattleman's Steakhouse at Indian Cliffs Ranch.

This not only has the best steaks in the whole wide world (you can quote me on that) it also has large grounds with all kinds of animals, only a couple of which are pictured here.

We've been going for years and each time it brings back such good memories.

Wishing you all the best as this new year starts. I'm beginning 2017 with lots of hope and positive energy, hoping it will be enough to last the whole year through.

Let's see how Alison rounded up 2016 by visiting Alison's favorite photos for the month of December.

  4. So great - it's always amazing to me just how different the light is in different places. How you get used to a place and stop seeing the magic that may be there all along. A great reminder to try to see things fresh :) Happy new year!
